Pastor Glenn Smith has been pastoring more than 36 years. He is originally from Detroit Michigan where he met the love of his life, his wife. He and Vickie started their first church in Iron Mountain MI In 1981. They moved to Marshfield WI in 1985 and joined the pastoral team at Believers Church. The church had a major regional impact with incredible events like Reggie White, Toymakers Dream and Integrity Music. In 1997 Glenn was asked to lead as Senior Pastor and birthed an outreach called “the Nightmare" where more than 120,000 experienced the Nightmare and more than 15,000 people came to Christ.

In 2000 Glenn & Vickie began to sense the Lord speaking to their heart about planting a life-giving church in Madison WI. So in July of 2001 they (along with some friends) packed up the U-Haul and moved to Mad City. Metro Believers Church began its first public meeting in October 2001 as a weekly bible study called “Coffee Talk.” While meeting at the Middleton Town Hall, MBC then launched its first Sunday service on Easter of 2002 and continued to grow into its current facilities at the West Side Princeton Club.

Under the leadership of Pastors Glenn & Vickie Smith and their 36 years of ministry experience MBC continues to be a vibrant group of believers passionately following Jesus! With an emphasis on relationships and the fundamentals of being a believer, MBC continues to grow and meet the challenges of Christianity of the 21st century.
